DECLARATION OF POSTING
I, Joshua E Thornton, declare as follows:
1. I am over the age of 18, I am a Real Property Specialist for Jefferson County, I am
competent to be a witness, and I make this declaration based on facts within my own
personal knowledge.
2. Attached to this declaration is a true and correct copy of the form of Notice of Petition to
Vacate Portions of Road Rights -of -Way, which I personally posted on February 261n,
2026, at the western most terminus of Mumby Road and 184 feet east of the terminus
both ends of the Subject Right of Way shown in the attached notice.
3. Also attached are true and correct copies of photos which I took after posting each
Notice.
I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is
true and correct.

NOTICE OF PETITION TO
VACATE PORTIONS OF ROAD RIGHTS -OF -WAY
Jefferson County Public Works has received a petition from James Burnell, to vacate the western
terminus of Mumby Rd (184 feet x 12 feet) located on parcel 021-202-012, (see map below).
The Jefferson County Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on March
27, 2026 to consider the request to vacate these road rights -of -way. This is a remote meeting,
you are welcome to attend via phone or online via Zoom.

at or before the hearing will be included in the official record. You may also give testimony
directly to the Hearing Examiner during the public hearing.
