Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express my support for continuing to allow consumer fireworks in the Quilcene Bay area, particularly for Independence Day and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
These holiday shows have long been a meaningful tradition for our community—bringing neighbors together, drawing visitors to the area, and creating a shared sense of celebration on the
waterfront. When done responsibly and in accordance with state laws, they provide joy without compromising safety.
If the Board chooses to establish designated “Geneva Zones” where fireworks may still be used, I strongly encourage you to include Quilcene Bay as one of those zones. Our community has
a history of responsible use, and these events are an important part of our local culture.
