Hello,
The entire board needs to be held accountable for the absolute failure to maintain the parks and rec budget. Answers are demanded by the community, and failure to provide them should
result in nothing short of the resignation of everyone involved.
Taking some of the most valuable community resources we have and failing to keep them funded is so incompetent as to suggest corruption. Not only is the budget failure such a small fraction
of the overall, but the degree of destruction suggested to fix such a small budget whole does not align.
The community was not ever told this was not brought to our attention in any way until just before the crucial deadline? The one that must be entirely funded by the community, and failing
that the first option is to completely close our parks, remove a playground(which costs money that somehow exists for this but not to maintain them) and suggest to sell off properties.
This reeks to high heaven of back room dealings, and our community is not blind to this. If the board had truly cared, more notice would have been made to the community, different budget
options would have been found in a multimillion dollar budget, and the first resort would not just be to remove the infrastructure.
To top it off, you schedule your meeting about this during peak working hours, hoping your constituents cannot come to give you the correction you deserve. Your cowardice is noted. Shame
on every one of you.
