Good morning! My name is Cathy Traut-Hessom and I have lived in Port Townsend for 4 years now. I live here with my husband and son and daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. One of the
first activities that I started doing in PT was Zumba with Bailey and Chris. What a wonderful way to get to meet others in town, and many have become good friends now. The parks? We
need them! I see so many families at the small playground outside of the community center, it has helped my granddaughter see that there are other “littles” in town. She gets so excited!
We need these places! As a retired teacher, I know the importance of having a safe space for kids to hang out, a place for activities of all kinds. I would be willing to help keep these
places open, not just for me, but for my grandchild. Let me know if I can help! This shouldn’t have happened! Ask! Thank you!
