Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 15 with Interwest Construction of Burlington,
Washington.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This change order modifies and changes the
original scope by priming the girts in the MBR building and upgrading the chemical
piping for both citric acid and sodium hydrochlorite, located in the chem building.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total amount for Change Order No. 15 is
$19,136.04 (includes 9.2% Washington State Sales Tax). The contract amount will
increase from $10,693,241.66 to $10,712,377.70. The project is funded at 100% by the
Department of Commerce.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order
No. 15 with Interwest Construction, and return one original to Public Works for
further processing.
