To whom it may concern ( which should be everybody), I am devastated to hear of the proposed cuts to funding. I raised my son here in this Community. He's a nursing school now in Spokane and plans to come back and raise his family when he has one. His partner is also from here and all of her siblings. What will they do with their children when there's nothing left for them? We love the beach and the woods! But basketball, football, soccer, playtime, all of these things really matter to our children and their development. They need a space to be after school. That is safe. When it is, rainy and windy and dark, we need a space for them to play. We need memorial field for our children.I know that the Littles and their parents use the rec center frequently. I know that our seniors use the rack center. I know that people in recovery use the rec center. It would be devastating if more and more programs clothes. Having to drive to Port Angeles or Silverdale is a waste of our community dollars. Please do whatever it takes to keep these resources available. Paying a city manager more than the average wage doesn't make sense, in so many ways. I think I may have these budgets confused. However, I strongly believe, there are so many other things. Cutting down the trees to bury electricity when there's already so much room to bury. Please find other ways to make cost cuts and not cut the care and development of our children, seniors, and vulnerable population. Sincerely, Lavender Anne Fulton
