The identified Fish and Wildlife Habitat Conservation Area (Type N Stream) shall maintain a vegetative buffer of 50 feet and a building setback of 5 feet. The buffer shall be measured horizontally from the Ordinary High Water Mark and the setback shall be measure horizontally from the outer edge of the stream buffer. 2.) To help prevent seawater from intruding landward into underground aquifers, all new development activity on Marrowstone Island, Indian Island and within 1/4 mile of any marine shoreline shall be required to infiltrate all stormwater runoff onsite. 3.) The project proponent shall adhere to all recommendations in the archaeology report prepared for this proposal. This includes, but is not limited to, having a qualified archaeologist to monitor excavations at the time of installation of the trailhead signage and the kayak rack and to document monitoring results. 4.) The project shall adhere to the Best Management Practices (BMPs) to control stormwater, erosion and sediment during construction. BMPs shall address permanent measures to stabilize soil exposed during construction, and in the design and operation of stormwater and drainage control systems. 5.) This parcel is within a no shooting area per Chapter 8.50 JCC. 6.) No vegetation removal beyond that shown on the approved site plan received by Jefferson County on May 19, 2010 is allowed. The project proponent shall minimize the extent of vegetation removal or damage during construction. The existing trail from the kayak rack to the vault toilet may be maintained, but not widened. Any vegetation removal beyond that approved under this permit may trigger mitigation by Jefferson County. 7.) No use shall be made of equipment or material that produces unreasonable vibration, noise, dust, smoke, odor, or electrical interference to the detriment of the quiet use and enjoyment of nearby properties.
