report, which will provide recommendations to the Governor and Legislature on how to structure a new Department of Housing. The new department will serve as the state's coordinating
and problem-solving hub to ensure adequate housing supply and housing stability for everyone in Washington.

The survey will take about 15 minutes and is open to anyone who is interested. We are not collecting names or personally identifying information. The survey closes April 26.
About the Task Force
Governor Bob Ferguson signed executive order 25-12 creating the Department of Housing Task Force last December. The Task Force’s recommendations will include a proposed mission, agency
structure and operational plan.
Public involvement is vital to this work. The Task Force needs input from community members, local governments, tribal governments and citizens, housing providers, and people with experience
with housing in Washington. Your feedback will help shape recommendations related to priorities, program improvements, and how we measure effectiveness. The Task Force will assess which
existing state programs should be consolidated, opportunities to improve interagency coordination, and estimate the resources needed to launch and sustain the department.
The final report, due November 15, 2026, will be submitted to the Legislature and the Governor for consideration during the 2027 legislative session.
