I q e Farn i ly �eSlci CONDITIONS: All known bald eagle nest trees(active or alternate)and winter roost sites are protected. 'The following conditions apply to portions of a parcel that fall within the distance guidelines: Ti CONDITION 1: This parcel is within 400 feet of a bald eagle nest. Retain all known perch trees, all native conifers and all black cottonwood trees >24 inches diameter at breast height (diameter 4.5 feet from ground, known as d.b.h). Also retain >50% of coniferous and cottonwood trees <24 inches d.b.h. and >6 feet tall,with diameter distributions representative of the original stand AND no structures are located within the fall zone of a bald eagle nest tree. Above-ground tree damage, root injury or severance, or root compaction by any machinery to retained trees is not permitted by this plan. Windowing and low limbing of trees is acceptable provided no more than 30% of the live crown is removed. Topping of trees is not allowed. \tX CONDITION 2: This parcel is located >400 feet and < 800 feet of a bald eagle nest or within '/2 mile from a nest tree and within 250 horizontal feet of the shoreline or top of high bank bordering a shoreline. Retain all known perch trees, and 75% native conifers and cottonwoods >24 inches d.b.h. Also retain >50% of native conifer and cottonwood trees <24 inches d.b.h. and > 6 feet tall, with diameter distributions representative of the original stand. Above-ground tree damage, root injury or severance, or root compaction by any machinery to retained trees is not permitted by this plan.
