SUBJECT: Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee 2025 Annual Report
Presentation to the BoCC
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee (JCMRC)will provide an annual report to the BoCC,
providing updates on 2025 accomplishments and current grants. This presentation gives the BoCC an
opportunity to ask questions about MRC work, and provide input and guidance regarding marine resource
education, outreach and nearshore restoration activities needs in East Jefferson County.
ANALYSIS:
N/A
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact. Jefferson County receives grant funds for this program from the Northwest Straits
Commission(Dept of Ecology, U.S. EPA and NOAA).
RECOMMENDATION:
A 20-minute presentation with 10-minutes Q&A on the JCMRC's 2025 accomplishments and current grants.
