SUBJECT: PROCLAMATION re: Proclaiming April 16, 2026 as the 10th Anniversary of
Bayside Housing& Services
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Bayside Housing& Services began operations on April 16, 2016, with a mission to provide
compassionate, supportive housing and case management services to individuals and families
experiencing homelessness in Jefferson County. Over the past ten years Bayside has grown into a vital
community resource, offering safe shelter, case management, and pathways to stability for hundreds of
residents in need.
Bayside's work has strengthened the health, safety, and well-being of Jefferson County by reducing
homelessness,preventing displacement, and helping community members regain dignity, stability, and
hope.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to Jefferson County.
RECOMMENDATION:
To recognize Bayside Housing & Services and approve Proclamation re: Proclaiming April 16, 2026 as the
10th Anniversary of Bayside Housing & Services

PROCLAMATION
Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Bayside Housing & Services
WHEREAS, Bayside Housing & Services began operations on April 16, 2016, with a mission to
provide compassionate, supportive housing and case management services to individuals and families
experiencing homelessness in Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, over the past ten years Bayside has grown into a vital community resource, offering
safe shelter, case management, and pathways to stability for hundreds of residents in need; and
WHEREAS, Bayside's work has strengthened the health, safety, and well-being of Jefferson County
by reducing homelessness, preventing displacement, and helping community members regain dignity,
stability, and hope; and
WHEREAS, the organization has collaborated with local governments,nonprofits, businesses,and
volunteers to expand housing solutions and address the increasing challenges of affordability and
homelessness in the region; and
WHEREAS, Bayside Housing& Services continues to demonstrate leadership, compassion, and
innovation in its efforts to build a more equitable and resilient community for all; and
WHEREAS, April 16, 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Bayside Housing& Services, a milestone
that reflects a decade of dedicated service, partnership, and impact; and
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
hereby recognizes and honors Bayside Housing& Services on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary and
expresses deep appreciation for its enduring commitment to supporting vulnerable residents and
strengthening the fabric of our community, and hereby proclaim April 16, 2026 as

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners encourage all
County residents to join in appreciation of Bayside Housing & Services.
