Federal broadband grant application workshop added
PWB will offer an additional workshop this week
The Public Works Board will offer an additional application workshop this week for federal broadband grant funding under the Coronavirus Capital Project Broadband Construction Program
from the U.S. Treasury.

About the award
PWB has about $5.1 million available in this funding round, with a maximum of $2 million for an individual project. Tribes interested in expanding broadband infrastructure in their communities
will be prioritized, then local governments. Projects in distressed communities or areas identified as Indian country may receive up to $5 million.
Eligible projects should deliver service that reliably meets or exceeds symmetrical upload and download speeds of 100 Mbps. There might be exceptions based on geography, topography or
excessive costs. Awarded applicants must be substantially complete and operational and expend all funds by Dec. 31, 2026.
