Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This change order is for the following changes: over run of existing bid items; installation of a drivable concrete lid over the existing grinder pump tank at the Crazy Otter; additional septic pumping cost; and decommissioning of additional septic tanks, which were not within the original contract documents. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The amount for Change Order No. 5 is $55,653.82. The contract amount will increase from $1,095,765.15 to $1,151,418.97. Note that the costs include 9.2% WSST. This is the final change order, in preparation for the final payment. This project is substantially completed. The project is funded by the Department of Ecology combined funding package (Centennial grant, State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan and SRF forgivable loan) and the FY 2022 and 2023 EPA Community Grant Funds. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 5 with Earthwork Solutions LLC and return one original to Public Works.
