I would like to invite you to join us in a Celebration of Scholars.UWF is the philanthropic organization through which members of the Port Townsend Branch of AAUW carry out their charitable,
educational and public service endeavors, which promote education and equity for women and girls in East Jefferson County. UWF has been active for 32 years and our cumulative support
has exceeded $1million to date.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, AAUW/UWF will honor the women and girls of East Jefferson County who are this year’s recipients of our scholarships and awards.
This is our annual celebration of the outstanding women and girls in our community who, after a rigorous application and interview process, have been selected to receive scholarships
and awards. These awards range from Tech Trek scholarships (a week-long STEM camp for aspiring 7th grade girls) and high school recognition awards, to scholarships for post-secondary
school education. Some are receiving scholarships for college and university degrees while others will pursue training and certification in the trades.
I guarantee you will be inspired by the recipients, their stories, and their big plans for the future.
Please join us at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship hall (QUUF), 2333 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend. Doors open at 9:30am and the event will begin at 10:00am with a finish
