Work with daytime stops for up to an hour on US 101 south of Forks wraps up early
FORKS – People who use US 101 south of Forks no longer need to add an extra hour to their travels.
The work to clear drains approaching milepost 184 near Dowans Creek Road wrapped up more than a week ahead of schedule.
Daily closures with wait times of up to 60 minutes were scheduled for April 15, and April 20-23. Those closures are no longer needed.
The closures April 13-14 created a work zone for Washington State Department of Transportation crews to clear drains along the roadway.

permanent repairs are made.
About the roadway
In December 2025, this section of US 101 was reduced to one lane due to a slide.
