Eligibility Requirements: 1. Elected county official in a county with a population 30,000-150,000 2. County engineer in a county with a population below 30,000 3. Elected county official in a county with a population above 150,000 Forensic Investigations Council Oversees the bureau of forensic laboratory services and, in consultation with the chief of the Washington state patrol or the Chief's designee, control the operation and establish policies of the bureau of forensic laboratory services. The Council also studies and recommends cost-efficient improvements to the death investigation system in Washington and report its findings to the legislature. (RCW 43.103.040 <https://flight.us.toucantech.online/track/click/b9c4e4b6-de06-4e83-9ae6-86473e62edf1/3> ) Eligibility Requirements: Elected Commissioner/Councilmember Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board The Washington State Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board (FMSIB) is a 12-member Board appointed by the Governor held accountable to create a comprehensive and coordinated state program to facilitate freight movement between and among local, national and international markets which enhances trade opportunities. The Board is also charged with finding solutions that lessen the impact of the movement of freight on local communities. Washington's economy is very dependent upon trade and reliant on our ability to compete in a global economy. To remain competitive, we need to move our products and goods efficiently. Freight mobility depends, to a great extent, on the efficiency of the state's multimodal transportation network to maintain our competitive position. (RCW 47.06A.030 <https://flight.us.toucantech.on line/track/click/b9c4e4b6-de06-4e83-9ae6-86473e62edf1/4> ) Eligibility Requirements: Elected Commissioner/Councilmember Noxious Weed Control Board Through its actions and policy decisions, the State Control Board helps coordinate and supports the activities of the 38 county Noxious Weed Control Boards and weed districts of Washington who enforce the control of noxious weeds on private and public lands. The State Board also works with neighboring states and British Columbia, and provides leadership on regional and statewide noxious weed projects. The Board maintains the state's official list of noxious weeds that landowners may be required to control. The Board also publishes educational materials about noxious weeds that are used by local weed boards and districts and distributed free to the public. Its task is to assist local governments in addressing local infrastructure needs. The Public Works Board operates a revolving loan program funded by a dedicated local funding pool. A citizens’ board comprised of local infrastructure representatives manages the Public Works Board. The Board administers four programs associated with the Public Works Trust Fund, the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program, and the Water System Acquisition and Rehabilitation program. The Board distributes grant funding and selects transportation projects that best address the criteria of the funding program. These programs include the Urban Arterial Program, Arterial Preservation Program, Small City Preservation Program, Sidewalk Program, Small City Arterial Program, and Road Transfer Program. The TIB is also responsible for the final selection of programs and projects funded from the Central Puget Sound public transportation account; public transportation account; and the intermodal surface transportation efficiency act of 1991.
