JEFFERSON COUNTY HEARING EXAMINER
621 SHERIDAN STREET
PORT TOWNSEND, WA 98368
The service and filing deadline shall be 4:00 p.m., though items should be served no
later than 3:00 p.m. on the due date, to allow parties to confirm receipt or complete
transmittals/receipt of materials by close of business.
Any written responses to a Request for Reconsideration must be based upon evidence
and information already included in the record and may not be based upon new evidence or
facts that could have been raised during the hearing process. Responses shall be limited to
addressing the issues raised in the Request for Reconsideration, as arguments raising
additional grounds for reconsideration would be untimely.
The Examiner will take the request and any timely responses under advisement and
seek to issue a written decision as soon as possible. A new appeal period shall run from the
date of the Hearing Examiner’s final Order on Reconsideration.
Issued: April 30, 2026.
