PROPOSAL: The proposal is to repair sixty feet of wood plank
bulkhead. Back fill will occur with quarry rock.
The development is proposed to be within Hood Canal
and/or its associated wetlands.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: The site is described as Lot 4 of Bridgehaven
Division 1 within Section 16, Township 27 North, Range 1 East, WM.
FINDINGS:
1. The proposed development is found to be consistent with
Subsection 3.402(4) of the Jefferson -Port Townsend Shoreline
Management Master Program. The project constitutes normal
maintenance or repair of an existing lawful structure.
2. The bulkhead aligns with existing bulkheads to the north and
the south.
CONDITIONS:
1) This approval pertains to Jefferson -Port Townsend Shoreline
Management Master Program requirements only. The approval of any
other agency with jurisdiction or any other required permits shall
be obtained prior to undertaking the project.
2) Work within the jurisdiction of the shoreline program other
than described above shall receive separate review and approval
from this office.
3) No fill or other material may be placed in the water or
intertidal areas of Jefferson County.
4) Filter fabric or a sand screen shall be placed between the
bulkhead and the backfill material.
NOTICE: This exemption does not excuse the proponent from
complying with other local, state, and federal ordinances,
regulations, or statutes applicable to the proposed development.

The Jefferson —Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program exempts
certain developments from its permit requirements pursuant to the
Washington State Shoreline Management Act (RCN 90.58). To qualify for
an exemption, the proposal must be reviewed and approved by the
Jefferson County Planning and Building Department.
