CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL: Chair Kaan called the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m.

APPROVAL AND ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA: Chair Kaan asked the commissioners if
there were any objections to adoption of the agenda as written. No objections were made.
The agenda was approved by unanimous consent.
APPROVAL OF 04-08-2026 MINUTES: Chair Kaan requested a motion to approve the
minutes. Commissioner Llewellyn moved to approve the minutes with a second from Co-
chair Schwartz. Chair Kaan called for a vote and all 5 present commissioners voted in favor
of the motion with no abstentions. The motion passed unanimously.
GENERAL UPDATES
PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATES:
1. Doodle Poll Update - Chair Kaan encourages commissioners who have not
submitted their doodle poll to please submit them so a date can be decided for
our fall retreat.
2. Chair Kaan and Commissioner Schultz shared that they went and toured the
new wastewater treatment facility. Schultz said it is a well-run plant and shared
that a state representative was there and the facility was looking for additional
state funding to expand their operations.

pending pre-~fat approval.

1. Jean Ball- Brin non - shared that the microphones were not clear and assisted in
performing an audio check so that participants could hear more clearly.

REGULAR BUSINESS
1. Joel Peterson led a review of the Staff Report on Jefferson County
Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update 2045 document.
a) Chair Kaan requests clarification on the zoning for the Port Hadlock
apartments south of QFC.
b) Chair Kaan points out an issue with the building height of 70 feet in the
affordable housing section. Joel Peterson will update this figure.
PUBLIC COMMENT
1. Jean Ball- Brin non - thanked the group for attending to the mic and reported the
audio was much better for the remainder of the meeting.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Kaan adjourned the meeting at 07:26 p.m. until the next
regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed.

The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled May 13th at 5:30 p.m. at the Jefferson
Transit Center.
