First, a big thank you to Mary from Seven Monkeys Gallery for offering a wonderful small business support opportunity for our local community. Mary is generously offering to distribute business materials while she’s out sharing her own — completely free of charge. This is a great chance to get your flyers, business cards, brochures, menus, or promotional materials into more hands throughout the region. Materials can be dropped off at: Seven Monkeys Gallery 51 Herbert St, Quilcene Please submit materials by May 30. EPIC Event We also invite you to join us on May 21 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Brinnon Community Center for the launch of EPIC (Elevating Partnership in Community), presented in partnership with NHCCC and 1st Security Bank. EPIC is a new initiative focused on bringing together local businesses and nonprofits to connect, collaborate, and strengthen our communities through shared partnerships and support. This month’s guest speaker will be Heather Mirczak, Community Outreach Coordinator from The ReCyclery. Heather will discuss how bicycles can be powerful tools for building community and will share information about programs helping children, families, and students gain access to and ownership of bicycles. We hope you’ll join us to learn more about this exciting collaborative effort and connect with others working to make a positive impact across our region. Seattle will host six FIFA World Cup matches between June 15 and July 6, 2026, bringing thousands of visitors to the Pacific Northwest. NHCCC will be promoting Quilcene and Brinnon through a “Stop.Shop.Dine” campaign designed to encourage travelers exploring the Olympic Peninsula to visit our local businesses, restaurants, lodging, galleries, and attractions. This will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase everything our communities have to offer during one of the world’s largest international events. We will be sharing more information soon regarding participation opportunities, promotional materials, and business spotlights.
