Combs <jcombs@hobbsstraus.com>; Jennifer McLaughlin <jmclaughlin@jamestowntribe.org> Subject: Requested letter of support for Jamestown's proposed transfer Dungeness & Protection Island Refuges Legislation Commissioners, Our Tribe is working with our Congresswoman Emily Randall and Senator Maria Cantwell introduce legislation that Transfers the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Dungeness and Protection Island Refuges to Jamestown trust/reservation. I’m attaching a draft suggest support letter as well as a draft copy of the proposed legislation, map and white paper that outlines our proposal. You’ll see that in the legislation we preserve the 1915 Executive Order and statute that established the Refuges and their conservation purpose for bird & wildlife and habitat.
