SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD REAPPOINTMENT re: Jefferson County
Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board (IDDAB); Amber
Kent
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Jefferson County Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities program requests reappointment of
member Amber Kent to the Jefferson County Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Advisory
Board (IDDAB).
ANALYSIS:
On March 20, 2026, member Amber Kent completed the unexpired term of the vacant seat she filled
and now desires reappointment. A legal notice advertising the vacancy ran in the Port Townsend
Leader on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, with an application review deadline of Wednesday, May
20, 2026. No applications were received by the deadline.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Amber Kent meets the criteria to serve a "self-advocate"position on the IDDAB. As such, Amber
Kent is eligible to receive a $50 stipend per meeting attended as specified in the board's bylaws.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Jefferson County IDD program coordinator requests approval of the reappointment of Amber
Kent to the Jefferson County Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board.
