WSAC Legislative Priorities Update

Join the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) and your colleagues from across the state for an update following the Legislative Steering Committee (LSC) meeting held in early
May.
During the May meeting, LSC members spent a day and a half in discussion and voting to narrow the WSAC 2026–27 legislative priorities to six key issues. WSAC staff will provide a brief
overview of the meeting, outline the new priorities, and explain the next steps. Staff will also give an update on the new "State of the Counties" report, which is currently beginning
work in collaboration with the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington!
The session will conclude with a short Q&A.
