Dear Commissioners,
In light of the disaster at the Nippon Dynawave Paper Mill in Longview, WA, I urge you to review public safety and environmental risks at Port Townsend Paper Company mill and take action
as needed. As you may know PTPC has a history of Clean Air Act and and Clean Water Act violations, spills, procedural concerns (e.g., are updates to PTPC and county emergency preparedness
in response to white liquor storage and other issues needed?) and other public safety and environmental concerns. PTPC must operate safely, control environmental impacts and be in regulatory
compliance, to protect people, including workers at PTPC, the community, who are your constituents, and the environment.
