I am strongly opposed to changing the status of Protection Island and the Dungeness Bay/Spit. The current ownership and management is working well. I do not see how giving permanent,
unrevokable control of this critical area to a small group of people makes sense or will improve the protection of the birds who are dependent on the refuge. Trust us, we are ingenious
people is not an adequate level of protection.
