You are receiving this project notification letter as a property and/or business owner within close
proximity of the project area for WWTP Influent Wetwell construction. Please read this letter carefully
as it contains pertinent information about the project and potential impacts associated with
construction activities. Please share this letter with anyone you know who may be interested. Visit the

Project Overview
The WWTP Influent Wetwell is a critical component of the City's wastewater treatment system and has
experienced significant deterioration due to long-term exposure to corrosive wastewater gases and
aging infrastructure. To ensure continued reliability and regulatory compliance, the City has secured
funding to rehabilitate and upgrade the facility.
The WWTP Influent Wetwell Rehabilitation Project is a $1.5 million project scheduled to begin this
month with approximately 180 working days of construction. The project will address decades-old
structural and mechanical deficiencies within the wetwell and associated pumping facilities, improving
operational reliability and extending the service life of the influent wetwell as a component of the
wastewater treatment system.
The project will include rehabilitation of the existing influent wetwell structure, replacement of
deteriorated mechanical and electrical components, installation of corrosion-resistant materials, and
upgrades to pumping and control systems. Construction methods have been selected to minimize
service interruptions while maintaining safe and efficient wastewater conveyance throughout the

duration of the project. These improvements will enhance system performance, reduce maintenance
requirements, and provide long-term benefits to the community.

Project Schedule & Construction Notices
Safety along community arterials near the Wastewater Treatment Plant and surrounding facilities is of
the utmost importance.
• Work hours will generally be between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Occasional weekend or extended-hour work may be required to maintain the project schedule
and minimize impacts to wastewater operations.
• Construction equipment, materials, and contractor staging areas will be located within
designated areas of the Wastewater Treatment Plant site and directly across from the WWTP.
All active work zones will be secured and clearly marked to protect public safety.

• Portions of the treatment plant facility may experience temporary access restrictions during
construction activities. Plant operations will be maintained throughout the project, and all
critical wastewater treatment functions will remain operational.
• Rehabilitation activities will include demolition, concrete repair, rehabilitation of existing
pumps and mechanical equipment, electrical and control system upgrades, coating application,
and structural improvements. These activities may generate periodic construction noise during
working hours.
• Delivery of construction materials and equipment may result in increased truck traffic in the
vicinity of the treatment plant. Traffic control measures will be implemented as necessary to
ensure safe access for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Temporary interruptions to specific plant processes may be required to facilitate equipment
replacement and system tie-ins. These activities will be carefully coordinated to minimize
impacts and maintain compliance with operational requirements.
We understand that construction activities may create temporary inconveniences around your home
or business and we appreciate your patience and support as we invest in these critical wastewater
infrastructure improvements. The project webpage will provide periodic updates throughout
