America's public lands are part of our shared national heritage. They give clean water, wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, hunting and fishing access, and support local economies
and communities. Protecting these lands is about safeguarding our treasured places, prosperity, and freedoms that we pass on to future generations.
Now, America's beloved public lands could once again be in danger of being sold to the highest bidder with only a simple majority vote in the Senate through the federal budget reconciliation
process.
That vote may happen as soon as this week.
You can help. The bipartisan Public Lands Integrity Act, would protect public lands by preventing future sell-offs through reconciliation. Introduced last week, the Act would require
any proposal to sell federal public lands via this process to achieve 60 votes in the Senate. This 60-vote requirement helps protect public lands by ensuring that any proposal to sell
them earns bipartisan support.
Public lands belong to all Americans. They are open spaces where families, veterans, hunters, anglers, and communities connect with the land. These lands should be protected for future
generations, not treated as a budget bargaining chip.

Please call your U.S. Senators and Representatives and urge them to support the Public Lands Integrity Act and oppose efforts to sell public lands through budget reconciliation.
