Hello Commissioners--
To piggy-back on Mr. Thiersch's comment, the Clerk's Fee Schedule has a line item for "Copies (not case documents)" at 25 cents per page. The statutory authority provided is RCW 42.56.120.
This is on page 85 of the packet. I think there was a little confusion because this is actually not a change to the fee schedule.
These records are not case documents and are presumably not court records, but public records, which appears to be acknowledged by the Clerk with the citation to the PRA. As Mr. Thiersch
noted, the PRA allows a statutory default of 15 cents per page, not 25, and this is what the County's public records policy has settled on.
