Please don’t try to fix what’s not broken. We need the input from USFW Was fishand game And the Jamestown Sklallam tribes to continue protecting the birds and ecosystem on Protection
Islan and Dungeness spit. So many changes face us; in our climate alone. The abilities of these groups to contribute to the solution is invaluable.
Im speaking as a retired biologist and resident of Jefferson county who regularly has been watching the bird population whenever I go out in our boat.

There has been a vast amount of research and effort to protect the birds and wildlife in both Protection Island and Dungeness spit.
The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Washington Dept of Fish and Game and Jamestown Sklallam tribes all have expertise that working together, can help in this time of climate and political
change.
