As you may know, Congress is considering legislation that would significantly weaken the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), our nation’s primary law for regulating dangerous chemicals. If enacted, these changes could undermine protections against substances such as PFAS "forever chemicals," asbestos, and flame retardants, while limiting transparency and reducing states' ability to protect their residents. Her leadership was crucial in the passage of a law that prioritizes veteran-owned businesses in state contracting, and her advocacy led to impactful changes in HUD rules regarding housing vouchers for veterans. As a small business owner, Daniel was appointed as the planning commissioner for the city of Adelanto, a position he held for two years before being elected city councilman and serving as Mayor Pro Tem.
