Attached below are my comments regarding the very controversial proposal
regarding Protection Island and possibly other refuges. The latest
information suggests a much larger picture that certainly was not known
when I spoke at the first meeting. I can only hope that this was an oversight.
The times we are living in have been very difficult in terms of our public
lands and our environment. We all need to feel represented and opinions
respected and added to the decision making process, especially in our own community. I do not want to lose hope.
Thank-you for the opportunity to comment on this very important issue.
