Chimacum Drainage District
Special Meeting – Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
This is an in-person meeting

Chair Crystal Taggart, Chair | Vice-Chair Chuck Boggs | Secretary Kristofer Sims
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Taggart at 5:15 p.m. Commissioner Boggs was absent.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: Chair Taggart called for public comments, and no comments were received.
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Commissioner Sims moved to approve the meeting minutes of June 17, 2026. Chair Taggart seconded the motion. The motion carried.
REPORT BY GLENN GATELY: Mr. Gately provided the results of Chimacum Creek temperature survey which reviewed water temp data and oxygen data within Chimacum Creek. The Board concluded
that this data should be more accessible and to raise awareness. According to the data, there are benefits of reed canary grass removal and shaded creeks.
DISCUSSION re: Financial Resolution: After discussion about the draft financial resolution, Chair Taggart moved to approve the financial resolution, with the edits discussed. Commissioner
Sims seconded the motion. The motion carried.
DISCUSSION re: Budget: CDD members discussed next steps for budget approval and hearing. The Board reviewed the remaining steps, with a goal to take action at the next meeting.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS and CLOSING REMARKS: CDD members discussed when to advertise these meetings to the district residents, and providing visual content like Mr. Gately’s creek data to
gain awareness of DD1 activity.
ADJOURNMENT: Chair Taggart adjourned the meeting at 6:39 p.m.
