SUBJECT: ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT(1) re: Conservation Futures Fund
Citizen Oversight Committee (CFFCOC); Unexpired term representing Open
Interest—Anadromous Fish, Michael Donald
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Recommendation to the BOCC for appointment of Michael Donald to the Conservation Futures Fund
Citizen Oversight Committee representing the currently vacant seat position of"Open Interest."
ANALYSIS:
On June 2, 2026 the Environmental Health Manager, CFF Program clerk, and CFFCOC Chair and Vice
Chair interviewed Michael Donald in-person for this volunteer position with the CFFCOC.
The interview committee highly recommends Michael Donald to serve on the CFFCOC. Mr. Donald brings
decades of professional experience in watershed management and restoration, as well as a passion for
community building and service to others. Public Health requests that the County Commissioners appoint
Michael Donald to an unexpired term on the Conservation Futures Fund Citizen Oversight Committee
(CFFCOC)to represent Open Interest—Anadromous Fish.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Support for candidate recruitment and appointment processing to the CFFCOC is funded by the
Conservation Futures Fund. CFFCOC positions are on a volunteer basis. There is no fiscal impact for
appointing Michael Donald to a seat on the CFFCOC.
RECOMMENDATION:
Public Health recommends that the County Commissioners approve the letter of appointment to the
Conservation Futures Fund Citizen Oversight Committee for the following individual:
