Free First Saturday

Looking to add a little art and history to your 4th of July plans? Bring the whole family on Saturday, July 4th for Free First Saturday at the Museum of Art + History and Rothschild
House.
Did you know you can also borrow a museum pass just like a book? The Jefferson County Library and the Port Townsend Library offer guest passes, which allow two adults to visit our sites

Summer Evenings at the Museum!
Wednesdays | July + August
Make the most of these long summer days with a visit to the Museum of Art + History! During July and August, the Museum will be open for extended hours every Wednesday from 4 - 7pm,
giving you even more opportunities to explore local art + history.
Whether you're stopping by after work, meeting up with friends, or looking for a relaxed midweek outing with family, Wednesday evenings are a great time to visit. Regular Museum hours
continue Thursday - Sunday, 11am - 4pm.

Stories from the Rothschild House: A Presentation Exploring the Rothschild Family

Whether you've visited the Rothschild House before or are new to its history, join us on Wednesday, July 22 at the Cotton Building for an intimate look at the family who lived there
for nearly 90 years.
Built in 1868 and preserved with remarkable care, the Rothschild House offers a rare glimpse into everyday life at the turn of the last century. From furniture and keepsakes to small
traces of daily living that remain throughout the house, the house has remained a time capsule of the Rothschild family's lives.
Through stories, objects, and personal details, we'll bring the Rothschilds into focus, offering a more personal way of understanding one of Port Townsend's most familiar historic homes.

Exhibition Opening
Join us August 1st for Free First Saturday and the opening celebration of Home/Made: Port Townsend's Community Printshop in the Wilson Gallery. This exhibition showcases work by members,
students, and instructors of the Port Townsend Community Printshop, a volunteer-run collective art space offering equipment and education for a wide variety of print mediums
Visitors can explore the many printmaking techniques available at the PTCP and catch a glimpse of the creativity, experimentation, and collaboration that thrives within this community
arts space.
Summer Supplies Drive is just around the corner!
As stewards of the region's rich art and history, JCHS is dedicated to preserving and protecting the objects that tell our community's unique story. This August, we're launching our
annual Summer Supplies Drive to support the care of our collection.
Your donation provides the essential materials needed to keep our art and artifacts safe, ensuring they remain accessible for future generations.
