As we look forward to gathering in New Orleans for the NACo 2026 Annual Conference, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey of local public service.
Every day, our counties are asked to do more with less—balancing infrastructure needs, managing local health systems, and navigating rapid technological shifts.
I am running for NACo 2nd Vice President because I believe that the local level is where real, lasting impact happens. Our communities thrive when local leaders have the authority, resources,
funding, and the flexibility to solve their own unique challenges.

Expand flexible grant funding and secure more direct federal funding.
Lifting and Empowering Local Leaders:
As local leaders, we must retain the ability to meet the unique needs of our communities. Local control is key to a sustainable future.
Help Local Regions Thrive:
We must secure fiscal tools and resources to plan long-term, invest in infrastructure and protect taxpayer dollars. Push for longer spending timelines to prevent counties from losing
critical funding.
Building a Better Future for Every Community:
Stronger futures come from inclusive leadership. When everyone has a seat at the table, our counties prosper.
