Hello all,
I want to extend my thanks again on behalf of Jefferson Land Trust for the opportunity to meet and discuss our upcoming RCO grant applications with you all this week.
We appreciated the chance to answer questions and are grateful for the enthusiasm you expressed about our Quimper Wildlife Corridor and West Valley Farm acquisition projects.
As a local jurisdictional authority and an important conservation partner, we would be very grateful to receive a letter of support from the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners
to help us demonstrate the value of these conservation efforts. I've attached a template here for each project in case it is helpful.
We plan to submit our final application on July 15th. If you are able to contribute a letter of support for our application it would be deeply appreciated.

I hope this message finds each of you well. I'm reaching out because Jefferson Land Trust is applying for grant funding through the state Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to
acquire and permanently protect additional properties within the Quimper Wildlife Corridor in Port Townsend.
The Land Trust also plans to submit an additional funding application to permanently protect 61 acres of farmland in Chimacum with a conservation easement. I've attached two letters
here with more detail about these respective projects.
To meet grant program requirements we must confer with local officials about our projects prior to July 15th, 2026. Our staff would be happy to present at a BoCC meeting soon to outline
project goals and respond to any questions or recommendations you may have.
