Chimacum Drainage District
Special Meeting – Thursday July 23, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
This is an in-person meeting

Chair Crystal Taggart | Vice-Chair Chuck Boggs | Secretary Kristofer Sims
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Taggart at the appointed time.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: Chair Taggart called for public comments, and no comments were received.
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Chair Taggart made motion to approve the Special Meeting Minutes of June 17, 2026. Commissioner Sims seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
CONTINUED DISCUSSION re: Meeting Schedule: The CDD members shared their meeting availability through September, 2026.
REVIEW re: Financial Resolution: After review of the draft Financial Resolution, Chair Taggart moved to approve RESOLUTION NO. 2026-R001-0723. Member Sims seconded the motion which carried
by a unanimous vote.
DISCUSSION re: Next steps for budget approval, newspaper publication, and logistics: The CDD members reviewed the next steps and their availability in October, 2026.
DISCUSSION re: Priority projects moving forward: CDD members discussed future projects moving forward included Highway 19 culvert being plugged, cost share paperwork through the Conservation
District for the Huntingford and Simons Walter-Hanson property. Also discussed outreach to Red Dog Farm to assist with beaver management. CDD members will continue to reach out to landowners
and offering assistance. CDD members noted that they can meet with the local newspaper to gain publicity. They would also like to establish a list of landowners that have received outreach
from the drainage district for organization in google drive.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS and CLOSING REMARKS: An upcoming agenda item will be the levee, and election calendar.
ADJOURNMENT: Chair Taggart adjourned the meeting at 5:56 p.m.
