Daytime stops of up to half an hour on US 101 at Hoh River Bridge Wednesday, July 29
FORKS – Travelers on a portion of US 101 south of Forks will want to plan ahead.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, US 101 will close multiple times approaching the Hoh River Bridge near milepost 176. Each closure will be up to 30 minutes.
The closures create a work zone for Washington State Department of Transportation engineers to take measurements and gather data for upcoming repairs on the bridge.
Emergency services will be given priority access through the work zone during this time. Once the work is complete, the bridge will return to one-way alternating traffic controlled by
a temporary signal.
Plan ahead
Go before or after work hours to avoid long waits. Consider postponing discretionary trips. If you travel during work hours add an extra 30 minutes to reach your destination.
