If you have not already, will you renew your support of the Peninsula Trails Coalition by making a gift of $100, $250, $500, or even a $1,000 today? DONATE NOW <https://us.list-manage.com/FqzB1cXar5p?e=d7954f414c&c2id=f8eab4e9858f25c853c79802cf9a85ed> Your contributions allow the Peninsula Trails Coalition to work with partners to close key trail gaps, improve safety, and increase accessibility on the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT). Some recent and upcoming improvements to the ODT include: * Forks to La Push: In March 2026, Clallam County secured a perpetual easement with Ecotrust Forest Management to advance a key 1.6-mile segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail between Forks and La Push, a critical step toward closing gaps on the West End. A second easement in this section is anticipated soon. * Anderson Lake new trail segment: 3.15 miles of newly constructed trail now connects Anderson Lake State Park to Milo Curry, providing a safe, scenic, off-road pathway for residents and visitors. This segment creates a continuous route from Milo Curry Road thanks to our partners Jefferson County and Washington State Parks. * Port Townsend Waterfront: Soon Milepost 0 (MP0) will be relocated from the Port of Port Townsend’s Boat Haven Marina and Boatyard to the City of Port Townsend’s Rotary Park near the Washington State Ferry Dock and US Bank. This collaborative effort is supported by the Port Townsend Rotary Clubs, the Port of Port Townsend, the City of Port Townsend, and the PTC. * The ODT will be re-routed to include establishing a new Larry Scott Trail spur that connects to a planned crossing to the Haines Place Park and Ride, and restoring approximately five acres of nearshore saltwater estuary that has been cut off from Port Townsend Bay since the railroad was built nearly 100 years ago. The Olympic Discovery Trail has always been and will remain an asset of the communities of the North Olympic Peninsula. With your support, we can accelerate our progress to complete the ODT and ensure that the ODT, the Olympic Adventure Trail, and associated facilities are safe and accessible now and for future generations.
