Exhibition Opening
Home/Made: Port Townsend's Community Printshop
Saturday August 1 | 11AM-7PM
Join us August 1st for Free First Saturday and the opening celebration of Home/Made: Port Townsend's Community Printshop in the Wilson Gallery.
The Port Townsend Community Printshop is a volunteer-run collective art space offering the equipment, studio space, and classes for a wide variety of print mediums such as screen printing,
lithography, letterpress, block printing, etching, darkroom photography and more.
This exhibition features work by artists who use the Printshop, from first-time printmakers to seasoned professionals, and highlights what can emerge when people come together create
and support one another.
Stop by the Wilson Gallery between 3PM–7PM for a live screen-printing demonstration and print your own artwork to take home!

Free Museum Day
Saturday August 8 | 11AM- 4PM
JCHS is joining more than 100 museums across Washington State for Museum Day, offering free admission on Saturday, August 8.
As part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration, JCHS is also co-hosting Moments That Made Us with Washington State Parks. This traveling panel exhibition examines how Americans
have interpreted the ideals expressed in the Declaration of Independence across 250 years.
Visit the exhibition at three locations: JCHS's Museum of Art + History, the Commanding Officer's Quarters at Fort Worden, and the Fort Flagler Museum.
Summer Evenings at the Museum!
Wednesdays | August
Enjoy extra time at the Museum of Art + History during August. Every Wednesday, the museum will be open from 4-7PM, making it easy to stop by after work or include a museum visit in
your evening plans.
Regular museum hours continue Thursday–Sunday, 11AM–4PM.
Summer Supplies Drive is here!
Begins August 10
This August, JCHS is launching its annual Summer Supplies Drive to support the care of the museum's archives and collections.
Donors will have opportunities to win behind-the-scenes tours of the North Olympic History Center and a private tour of Worthington Mansion and Park with the Quilcene Historical Museum.
