Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 5, travelers will see one-way alternating traffic on State Route 116 between Shotwell Place and Chimacum Creek Drive. During this time, crews will prepare the site at Chimacum Creek for construction and a long-term closure. The closure will be around the clock for approximately two months. The project also includes Lees, Ennis and Tumwater Creeks, which are on US 101 in and around Port Angeles. Work at Tumwater Creek is largely complete. Lees and Ennis Creeks are expected to wrap up this fall. Work continues on other fish barrier removal projects in both counties.
