We are in preparatory mode for Festival, as is typical for this quarter of the year. Several pieces of
multimedia advertising have been pre-ordered, but some expenses will not become visible in our
statements until the individual ads have run. The print ads that have been purchased so far include our
half-page ad in WoodenBoat Magazine and a series of ads in the Port Townsend Leader, all of which run
ahead of the Festival and spread awareness on national and local levels, respectively.
Online booking for rooms at Fort Worden State Park during the 2026 Festival is up and running, listing
available 2-3 night reservations. At this point, 14 rooms have been booked. Of staff time expenses listed in
the attached sheet, much has pertained to operating the reservations system, as well as preparing graphics
and information for print ads. We have spent extensive time designing and assembling the Festival program
that will be printed and delivered with 48° North Magazine up and down the I-5 corridor. We have also been
preparing our Van Shuttle program; the two main routes will run to and from the Safeway Park & Ride lot
and to and from Fort Worden. Information on this has been made available online.
