Org is eligible as a 26 U.S.C Sec. 501(c)(3) or 26 U.S.C Sec. 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 - EDIT TO ADD 4 TYPES Funds will be used for: tourism marketing, the marketing and ops of special events/festivals to attract tourists, or supporting the operations of tourism-related facilities VET AGAINST RCW Allowed use Capital and/or operating costs for tourism facilities owned by a public entity or non profit Administrative costs to support tourism events, facilities, and activities Emerging or on-going tourism event, facility, or activity to attract tourists Operation of a tourism promotion agency The marketing of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists to unincorporated Jefferson County from outside Jefferson County. Priorities: No particular order Destination Infrastructure: Provides, maintains, operates, or enhances tourism facilities, visitor infrastructure, or destination development projects (such as campgrounds, visitor information, or other public tourism assets). Destination Marketing & Visitor Attraction: Effectively markets Jefferson County, its communities, attractions, events, or experiences to visitors from outside the county. Tourism Workforce Development: Supports skilled staff, professional expertise, or workforce capacity that enhances visitor experiences and strengthens Jefferson County's tourism economy. Community Character & Sense of Place: Showcases, celebrates, or strengthens the unique history, culture, arts, heritage, landscapes, or identity of Jefferson County, creating an authentic visitor experience. Overnight Visitor Potential: Demonstrates potential to generate overnight stays in lodging establishments within unincorporated Jefferson County. Economic Impact: Demonstrates potential to generate measurable economic benefit for Jefferson County through visitor spending and tourism activity. Organizational Capacity: Demonstrates a history of successful project delivery or the organizational capacity and experience to successfully complete the proposed project. Coordination: Aligns with and complements existing tourism goals and efforts, avoiding unnecessary duplication. Destination-Worthy Experience: Creates or enhances an event, festival, or visitor experience that serves as a meaningful draw for tourists and contributes to Jefferson County's reputation as a destination. Reviewer Merit: Based on overall merit, innovation, creativity, exceptional value, or other strengths not otherwise reflected in the scoring criteria.
