Help us showcase your great implementation work by following these submittal reminders: 1. Register for and use the PlanView system. This is the best way to ensure timely receipt and review of your submittal. Visit the Submitting Documents to the State <https://links-2.govdelivery.com/C L0/https:%2F%2Fwww.commerce.wa.gov%2Fgrowth-management%2Fdata-research%2Fsubmitting-documents%2F/1/010101a010ebae38-79d0937d-403c-4e82-83a5-385d97147a88-000000/ws4cmSnBe00j5uwALg_8QXUo4DxCiGT_-qwGLPS FwQc=452> webpage for instructions on accessing PlanView. 2. Indicate if your submittal is associated with an existing case or submittal. Reference existing submittal (e.g., 2026-S-12345) or case numbers (e.g., 2026-C-12345). This keeps your materials organized and helps us track your progress on the periodic update, critical areas ordinance and development regulations. 3. Use clear, accurate and informative brief descriptions. The brief description is critical in helping Commerce track implementation and review your submittal in a timely manner. Examples include: 1. “Proposed comprehensive plan amendment for the GMA periodic update including the following draft elements: utility, transportation and parks.” 2. “Adopted Ordinance 123, adopting an amendment to the sign code.” 3. “Review of parking study for alternative standard.” 4. “Proposed development regulation amendment to implement middle housing and STEP housing laws.” 4. Categorize your submittal. Selecting appropriate categories on the final submittal screen helps us pull examples of good work for other local governments seeking assistance in the same area. If you have other questions regarding submittals and the PlanView system, please contact your regional planner <https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fdeptofcommerce.app.box.com%2Ffile%2F148 1834852630%3Fs=m4luai6p5oq9cjs93oknr4bur2w256i8/1/010101a010ebae38-79d0937d-403c-4e82-83a5-385d97147a88-000000/vnwwr89gEitBCdUQY8MjCz1pU2cY6DJxCgkK36wmups=452> . The Drone Hub Land Use Guidance: Best Practices for Cities, Counties, and Local Land Use Agencies <https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fdrive.google.com%2Ffile%2Fd%2F1y-51VbUwY15aVYO5H7uVA hMszF7hhLnG%2Fview/1/010101a010ebae38-79d0937d-403c-4e82-83a5-385d97147a88-000000/9wkSKbuwnvpitRUQN0eOH7Lr_63aPAjwRVGHQO-CptE=452> offers a practical framework for local governments, planners, airport sponsors, drone operators and other stakeholders. It helps jurisdictions address drone facilities proactively, before rising activity creates land-use conflicts. The guidance does not establish new statewide zoning requirements or replace federal aviation regulations. Instead, it provides recommended best practices that local governments may adapt to their comprehensive plans, zoning codes, development regulations and permitting processes. Questions?
