Temporary changes to SR 112 between Sekiu and Clallam Bay start Aug. 17
Slide repair project brings single-lane alternating traffic and reduced speed limit
CLALLAM BAY – People who use State Route 112 between Sekiu and Clallam Bay will want to plan extra travel time.
Starting Monday, Aug. 17, the speed limit on SR 112 will be temporarily reduced from 40 mph to 25 mph from milepost 15.75 to milepost 16.05. The speed limit is enforceable as soon as
signs are uncovered.
What to expect
Travelers will see temporary traffic lights alternating one lane at a time. The temporary traffic lights will remain in place through October.
Travelers are encouraged to add 30 minutes travel time to adjust for delays.

. Work includes removing slide debris, installing a new drainage trench, stabilizing the hillside and paving the roadway.

* Pay attention – both to workers directing traffic and to fellow travelers.
