5. Reports
• Expenditure Reports – Judy
1. Target 45.83%
2. GF @ 45.11% for 2026, discussed GF depts over target
3. OF @ 34.65%, discussed areas over target
• Revenue Reports – Judy
• GF a@ 55.5% similar to previous years
• Starting to see meaningful amounts from Public Safety Tax
• OF @ 47.5%
• Discussion of GF cash balance
• Significantly down from June in previous years
• GF Sales Tax – less than anticipated, will be watching closely though year end,
projecting $900K less than anticipated for ‘26 despite Public Safety tax.
• Discussion of construction being down due to fish passage and sewer projects
being wrapped up. Short discussion of housing market.
• Discussion of REET = 10.4% under budget. Projected down from budget EOY.
Discussion of sales – higher value properties moving but not mid-range.
• Hotel / Motel = up over last year. Projected up from budget at EOY.
6. Additional topics as determined
• Budget discussion from 7/13 BOCC Mtg – Question re: Revenue information shared.
Discussion of different amounts shared via Levy Lid Lift on ballot.
• Reminder of Provisional budget message. Budget call August 3rd. Tuesday is election
day and should know status of Levy Lid Lift by that Friday. Final budget msg sent on
8/10. Budgets due 9/1 – before Labor Day weekend! Preliminary budget available for
review 9/30. - Judy
