Two weeks of road work on SR 112 near Pysht starts Aug. 24
PYSHT – Daytime travelers who use State Route 112 near Pysht should plan additional travel time.
From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Aug. 24-Sept. 3, SR 112 will be reduced to one lane at different locations between Pysht and SR 113.
Travelers will see flaggers alternating traffic one direction at a time near Pillar Point Road the week of Aug. 24. The lane reduction creates a work zone for early work related to a
future fish passage project.
People are encouraged to add 15 minutes travel time to adjust for delays.
Whenever near work zones please:
* Slow down – drive the posted speeds for worker and traveler safety.
* Be kind – workers are out there helping to keep people safe and improve the roadways.
* Pay attention – both to workers directing travelers and surrounding traffic.
* Stay calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible.
About the work
Crews will use drilling equipment to collect soil samples. The information will be used to help design the project.
