JEFFERSON COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
CONSENT AGENDA REQUEST
TO: Board of County Commissioners
FROM: Josh Peters, County Administrator
DATE: August 3,2026
. SUBJECT: AGREEMENT: Washington Technology Solutions: Aerial Imagery
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The County has contracted with WATECH for flight imagery of the county for use in our GIS system for a
number of years. The agreement provides continued coverage for another two years at the same rate.
ANALYSIS:
This is a cooperative purchase through the State of Washington. The cost is $ 10,000 per year for
the two-year term. Having the most current aerial imagery is important to the users of our GIS
system, both departmental and public. The current flight in our GIS system is outdated and does not show
changes in recent years as to construction, timber harvesting, and river realignments.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total fiscal impact in$20,000 for the next two years, $10,000 per year,to be paid out of the
Assessor's budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of County Commissioners approve the agreement.
