Dear Sheriff Hernandez,
Per your request, Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) has carried out the
abatement at the referenced property to resolve longstanding solid waste
violations. As of today, JCPH has closed the solid waste enforcement case. Legal
fees for Jefferson County Prosecutor, David Alvarez, and a cleanup bill paid by
JCPH to Peninsula Recycling for $5555.97 are the only outstanding charges Mr.
Anderson is responsible for.
On March 9, 2011 the Superior Court of Jefferson County granted a warrant of
abatement to remedy solid waste on the site, including junk vehicles. In June
2011, JCPH contractors, Peninsula Recycling, removed 58 tons of solid waste and
garbage, 685 tires, and 77 tons of scrap metal. In addition, Mr. Anderson
removed 182 junk vehicles.
On January 20, 2012 the Superior Court of Jefferson County granted a revised
warrant of abatement to continue clean-up efforts including removal of 39 junk
vehicles. In March of 2012, Mr. Anderson removed 39 junk vehicles and recycled
12.55 tons of scrap metal from the property.
Pursuant to the two warrants of abatement, Mr. Anderson removed a total of 221
junk vehicles. Total amount of solid waste removed from the parcel by the
county and Mr. Anderson is 174.55 tons and 685 waste tires.

A thorough inventory of approved items left on the property has been
documented through photos. Please find attached photos taken after clean-up
indicating the agreed upon items. This documentation will be kept with the file
to confirm the permanent injunction against future placement of any solid waste
on the property is not violated.
Deputy Prosecutor Alvarez will be responsible for perfecting (formalizing) the
lien against the parcel for the clean-up costs and any associated legal fees.
Please feel contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
