1. Recreation Supervisor increased from full time to .5 in June, 2027.
a. Strategic, limited new programs to serve the entire E. County Region
b. Expanded rec center hours
c. Growth/evolution of existing programs
2. Brand new part-time person dedicated 100% to rec center custodial hired in June,
2027
a. Inside rec center presentation and cleanliness
b. Trained in floor buffing/coating
c. Gradual improvements to furniture, toys, instruments, media,
i. For a richer, safer environment
d. Custodial/maintenance support for additional hours/programs
3. Brand new seasonal (40hrs/week/6 months) maintenance person
a. South county focus (Quilcene skate-park, Leland and Quilcene CGs)
b. Gibbs Lake support (new beach)
c. Preventative maintenance
4. Fill existing vacant full time/year-round parks maintenance person
a. Preventative maintenance
b. Support Upper and Lower Oak Bay CG
5. Irondale Beach Park (receives zero staff maintenance)
a. Stewardship/maintenance/operations agreement with Friends of Irondale
Beach Park
b. Continued trash and toilet services
6. Indian Island Park (receives 10% of required maintenance from team)
7. Support of projects
a. Maintenance always have work to do whenever we do a capital project large
or small
8. Support of rec programs
a. Maintenance staff can continue to support existing programs, and limited
new programs

iii. We have interlocal agreements with PTSD, and City of PT for
equipment and staff sharing
b. Replace a 2008 pickup in 2028
c. Replace a 2012 pickup in 2029
11. Supervision, Management, Leadership, Project Management, Grant Writing
a. No additional administrative staff our hours have been added
b. Prop 1 will enable P and R manager to focus on operations and capital
instead of the “Annual Budget Crisis”
